I’ve just read another great free ebook, this time from Caroline Middlebrook who has a blog all about her ongoing efforts to become a successful internet entreprneur and the challenges and thoughts she has on it all.

In this well written book, Caroline shares her plan to use the power of wordpress (a free blogging tool used by this site and so many more) to create low maintenance mini websites on niche topics over and over to make money from affiliate sales and other avenues. Her book guides you through the setup of wordpress itself and why she favours static sites and how to use wordpress for those static sites.

She does not go much into the monetization aspects but she does briefly cover the two obvious possibilities, adsense and affiliate links. In her plan the aim is to get these sites producing just a dollar or so each per day then to build up a collection of them. This ‘virtual real estate’ is not a new idea but wordpress makes it real easy and of course you might think of building your own mini sites to produce much more income per day!

I came across an interesting idea at another site which comments on how so many business owners out there do not have a clue as to how to go about getting themselves online and how to get traffic to their sites. This represents an enormous opportunity for internet savvy work at home individuals like you. Why not charge these businesses near you to set up and manage websites. WordPress and other blog programs can be used to build neat sophisticated yet simple to use and run websites.

Case relates just how ignorant some folk are with a story of how the concept of linking blogs and sites together had to be explained to his sister in law.
