A Squidoo webpage, known as a ‘lens’, is real simple to assemble with individual modules for different purposes like text, youtube videos clips, Amazon recommendations and plenty more. Even the on-page advertising is already setup for you and you’ll get 50% of the revenue generated. Put your own affiliate links into your lenses and you get 100% of those. A portion of the other 50% goes to various charities so you can be helping others too!
If you already have a website or blog selling something why not make a lens or two to help drive traffic there? Google tends to like Squidoo so having links from there to your other sites is a good thing! Maybe you have an interest in a sport or charity you want to get more exposure for?
If you want to test market a product try setting up a lens to see how much interest it gathers, Squidoo lenses tend to get indexed very quickly on Google so its a great way to test the keywords (search phrases) you think your intended audience might use. Just build your lens with the keywords in the title, heading and a few times in the body text.
Oh yes almost forgot to mention you can build as many lenses as you like! You can even have different accounts for different purposes (different ‘pen’ names for your various activities), all as long as you don’t abuse the system of course. There are even some lensmasters making good money by setting up lenses then selling them to others!
