Changes at eBay?

If you are an ebay seller you might want to be aware of changes ahead such as the news that ebay is to phase out Third Party Checkout systems often used by powersellers.

Systems such as Marketplace Advisor which help sellers with listings and inventory management and of course upsells are to be phased out within the next 12 months. All vendors will be required to use ebays own checkout.

So far there seems no danger of the unpopular ‘paypal only’ payment requirement being adapted outside Australia. Aussie sellers are still fighting for the right to retain bank transfers as a payment option and angry sellers have even got the national consumer watchdog involved. The change has been delayed a further month.

Read a great article in a magazine today about how some folks are really coining it selling all kinds of stuff on eBay, even part timers are doing really well in some niches.
