Tips for Writing Google Adwords Copy

Use the keywords in the headline, it is well known that where a headline includes the same word or phrase used by the searcher, that ad will get more clicks. Google even helps with this by making matching keywords appear in bold type in your ad making them stand out more.

Using quote marks, exclamations and question marks anywhere in the ad can help and you are allowed to make the headline a question though not an exclamation. Try turning your headline into a question which attracts curiousity – “Want to lose 10lbs Fast?”

Try the quick solution approach – “How to Cure Acne in Days”, “Fix that Problem PC”, many searchers are looking for Read more…

More on Article Writing

I’ve been doing a little more experimenting with using the power of article sites and Squidoo and am pleased with the results so far, it really is possible to get on the first page of Google in a day or two if your articles are constructed correctly.

A good title seems to be the major key. In short, use the keyword phrase you’re targeting. So if you’re targeting the search phrase “unusual birthday gifts” then make sure that exact phrase is the title (or the start of a longer title) of your article. Use the phrase again at the start of the first paragraph and use it a few times in the body of the article.

Writing a similar article for posting on a blog or another article site and put a link from it to the first one also seems to help. Obviously you need to target very specific phrases which don’t have to many webpages optimized for the same phrase so target “thick blue widgets: and not “widgets”.

Whoops I nearly forgot to mention the Wealthy Affiliate has a massive amount of info on the subject with lots of comments and even detailed success stories you can easily duplicate. Affiliate Marketing and Article Writing Overview

One form of affiliate marketing is the method known as Article Marketing (or Bum Marketing as it is sometimes known). The concept is simple enough, write an article based around a keyword phrase in some niche then get your article published somewhere it is going to be seen, preferably on Google. Include your affiliate link to whatever related product you are promoting in the article so some of the readers will click through to the product and hopefully buy it, thus earning you a commission.

Start by picking a niche market you know a little about, this is not actually necessary but it helps while you’re starting out. Lets say you pick on trout fishing for the sake of discussion here. Knowing there are lots of fishermen out there who would like to catch more trout you go and find a suitable product, maybe a book or DVD from Amazon or an eBook from Clickbank that shows people how to improve their trout fishing. That group is now your target market and the products you picked are what you are going to sell to them. Read more…

Affiliate Marketing – A Closer Look

So what exactly is affiliate marketing? Put simply it’s the business of marketing somebody else’ product or service in return for a commission or payment. There are tens of thousands of merchants looking for more sales and willing to pay from 5% to 70% of the sale value to whoever introduces the customer. This tends to work best with website sales as it is relatively simple to automate the administration involved in tracking which customer was introduces by which affiliate.

Typically the lower commission shares are on high value physical products where there is limited margin to begin with, however 5% of a $500 dollar product is still $25 just for introducing a customer. Downloadable products like software and ebooks tend to have higher commissions as there is little physical cost involved in copying the item to the customer therefore the merchant has a high profit margin after recouping the initial development cost.

There are several affiliate networks that make the whole process simple. By signing up with Read more…
